Outreach in the village Zacharievka “He came and changed it all”
In the village Zacharievka of Pervomaisky region the holiday Easter concert has taken place for the first time in the history of this village. The concert was prepared be the Mariupol Church of Good Changes.
Several days before the concert the scale advertising company was held, the parishioners of the church actively invited the local residents to come to the concert. In the very day of the outreach, in the evening after the working day the residents of the village started assembling in its center. Many people listened to the concert directly from their houses, looking out of windows. For the first time the musicians and singers performed before them singing modern songs about God. At the concert one could hear the author’s songs of Ascold and Natalya Kvyatkovskiy – the winners of many contests and festivals, and the Worship team of the Church of Good Changes participated in the concert. After the songs some people testified how God intervened in their lives and changed their destinies completely.
For all those who were present the Easter gifts were prepared – DVDs with the messages of the pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko.
It worth mentioning that the church in the village Zaharievka is very young. 3 years ago the missionary from the Church of Good Changes Valeriy Glushkov moved there to start a new affiliated church. The task turned out to be quite complicated, for the habitual Orthodox has a definite fear before the people who speak about God n the manner different from Russian Orthodox.
As pastor Valeriy told at the Baptism Holiday there was a miracle. The administration of the village invited the priest from the region but he never came. Them the local farmer invited pastor Valeriy. Having put the robe on pastor Valeriy sparkled the water of his fellow villagers. Such ways of rapprochement to the Orthodox tradition on the opinion of the pastor Valeriy destroys the strongholds of fear and unbelief.
There is not few young people in Zaharievka. It’s almost nothing to go in for in the village. Out of idleness they start drinking and using drugs at an early age. That is why the charity fund “ Pilgrim” make lectures in the local school in the subject of the harm of drugs.
A couple days before the very Easter the people listened to alive concert where with a great inspiration they sang about the Lord in a very clear and easy manner. The Pastor Valeriy Glushkov is quite sure that this concert is gonna be a big step in the development of the church, the people will come gradually and genuinely commit their hearts to God.
