Is it easy to forgive on forgiving sunday?

03 March

They didn’t forget to celebrate the Orthodox feast – Forgiving Sunday in Pilgrim. The beginning of Easter fast was marked by the day when it is just necessary to forgive everybody and to beg pardon from those whom you offended and afflicted.

Since morning, having assembled at the table with fritters and condensed milk (in such a way modern teenagers meet spring!), pilgrims have begun to apologize before those whom they had offended, and to hug their offenders. It has turned out very cheerfully, solemnly, and the most important thing, sincerely.

A bit later, in the afternoon, all Pilgrim has got excited. For the children familiar and favorite fair was organized in the course of which they could earn coins in order to buy everything that the soul wishes. At each station of the children tests there were mobile competitions, questions on sharpness and many other things waited. To earn money not so long time was given what is why all the pilgrims rushed around the structure like mad to have time to visit each station and to have time to earn.

For carrying out of this action the youth from the Church «Good News» have been invited. Already for the whole month they come from time to time to “Pilgrim” – the children made friends with them. And all that had begun with a sister – Nadya Tveretinova who had arrived from Sacramento, CA, the USA to Mariupol to her native church «Good News», and led to “Pilgrim” the youth from her church. They carry out different events in the Bible, perform scenes or arrange competitions in Christian subjects, they have already taught children to sing a canon. Children are always happy to see such visitors because with them it is cheerful and it is always interesting.

The management of the centre “Republic” Pilgrim ” is also always glad to volunteers. And what especially pleasant is that the ministry to the homeless children in Mariupol began to pull together Christians of different denominations.
