Pilgrim is for “Ilyitsiovets”
On Saturday the pilgrims made a tremendous noise while they were on their way to the stadium to support their favorite soccer team “ Ilyitsiovets”. They hooted different pipes and shouted slogans.
Three minivans full of children and signed “Pilgrim is for Ilyitsiovets” started to the stadium. On their way the kids hooted in the pipes and trumpets awakening the city of seeping. Mariupol was excited. People on the bus stops waved with their hands, shouting “ We’re with you!”.
On the stadium the head of the foster family “Eagle’s nest” Alexander Miroshnyk withhis adopted son Artem Gurkov played the trumpets. The children danced at the stands and scanned new slogans. The children were excited and inspired by the event on the stadium. They could experience many positive emotions. After the match the most active fans gained an ice-cream, a Coke and a cake.
Apparently, the team “Ilyitsiovets” wont be able to be restored in the Higher league since it occupies the next to last place in the tournament table. At such times the sports spirit of soccer players is not on a high level and the passion of the fans goes on recession. But it’s not about the pilgrim: thy are happy to support the home team at any time and they rush to help.
The captain’s Igor Shuhovtsev’s wife shared that when she chatted with her husband after the match, he said that the pilgrim were the brightest fans and neverthe less served a huge help to the team.
Between the team “Ilyitsiovets” and the children from the center of children’s rehabilitation “ Republic “ Pilgrim” the close friendship was fastened. Recently three players of “ Ilyitsiovets” have come to the former street kids with gifts from the team. The children sure enough were glad to receive a TV set and a stereo from the professional soccer players but they were even more delighted to meet favorite soccer players face to face, to take pictures with them and autographs.
